Supernatural Compendium -- Thunderclap

We are hosting a thunderclap campaign to raise awareness of the collection of stories put together by various authors in multiple genres. It is a sample of their work and it is available now for 99c/p.
Why should you buy it? Well, all monies received will be donated to a Children's Cancer Charity.

It is a great way to gift to charity and get your hands on the works of 11 talented authors all at once.
We were gonna offer the book up for free but Amazon does not allow it. The minimum amount it allows is 99c/p so we decided that seeing as we weren't doing it for the money, that we would donate all royalties from the book sales to a worthwhile cause.

Grab your copy today and sign up with your facebook and or twitter to bring awareness to friends and family on the Thunderclap release day.

pppssssttt... ps... Thunderclap does not spam your accounts. It will post once on your wall to say you have signed up and then once on the day of the Thunderclap. That is it. It does not have access to your accounts beyond what I have stated.

I want to share with everyone this absolutely fantastic podcast that is hosted by two very good friends of mine Claire and Linzi the Paranormal Sisters. They have just started a podcast called Dead Creepy Podcast.

This is their third episode and for me the best so far. I love all things paranormal (I am even a paranormal investigator -- shocker huh?) so when they began this I supported them as friends do BUT boy am I blown away by how fantastic they are at it, and OMG Darryl just makes me cry with laughter (you need to tune in to find out about the insightful skeptic).

Below I am sharing their first three episodes but guys, I would highly recommend that you get on your devices and subscribe to the sisters... You will not be disappointed. You can find them on iTunes and Podbean.

Also, follow them on social media:

Plus if you have any stories you want to share you can message them via their Facebook page, and sure while you are there hit that LIKE button and share with people you know will love them too!

Sssssh! Listen...What's that sound? Is it thunder? No...IT'S MICHELLE CONNORS THUNDERCLAP!!!

If there is one thing I pride myself on, it is showcasing my fellow #IndieAuthor and no better time than now to showcase this amazing author Michelle Connor.

Michelle writes #Fantasy and is currently promoting her 2nd book in the series Hers To Save.
If you have not read the first book (pre-viewed above), I would highly recommend it and it you have then get your butt moving and pre-order it so that you get your hands on it the day it is released.

I have just shown my support using the Thunderclap link below and I would love it if you would too.
It won't spam, it won't hold your details. It will simply share one post on your timeline on the designated day highlighting Michelle's new release.   So PLEASE share and show your support of this brilliantly talented author.

This is what happens when a group of authors get together and decide to work on an ebook to highlight and showcase their collective works. There are eleven authors in total (myself included) and samples of their work are included in this fantastic collection.

We had tried to put this out there for free but Amazon apparently do not allow you to sell an ebook for FREE and no longer price match, this would have allowed us to match it to Free as it was on other sites. This forced us to make a choice and that choice was to set it as low as we could (99c/p per download) and to price it at that across all platforms. Any and ALL money made from sales will be collected and given to charity.

So, if you have always wanted to try a new author but didn't have the $$$ to do so, then why not spend 99c/p on this collection where you can read the work of ELEVEN authors. You never know, you just might find a new FAVE and all you will be helping a charity.

Genres: Supernatural, Magical Realism, Horror, Mythology, Lore, Paranormal Romance, Fantasy Contempory Fantasy.

5***** Goodreads review of Alyson Madden-Brooker's -- The Last Titan

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Ok, so when I began to read this novel I wasn't sure what to expect. But what quickly stood out to me from the beginning was how well the author knew her craft. This novel was so well written that it was just a dream to read. I found myself drawn in from the very beginning and that is rare for me as I am a tough critic. I need balance between dialogue and narration. This delivers it all in a beautiful symphony of characters, drama, tension, lore, mythology and even touches in places a little real life connection.
This book (no. 4 in the series) touched on mythology, which I love, and wove it meticulously through the story and gave them a modern and sometimes surprising twist. The look at the whole Heaven and Hell 'reality' was unique and actually made me hmmmm aloud at times.
All in all, this was a fantastic story, told in a beautiful way by a very adept and well-instructed author.

I would list the genre of this book: LGBTQ (organically placed), Contemporary Fantasy, mythology, Magical Realism.

I just can't rave about this novel and series enough.

* * * * LISA V. PROULX * * * *

What genre are your books?
I began my writing career writing horror then after losing my mother, my whole life changed. I no longer wanted to scare people but comfort them and make them better. I started writing non-fiction and inspirational stories, however, there are a few scary ones I am working on. The horror genre will always be my first love.

What draws you to this genre?
As for horror, I grew up watching the old classics-Dracula, Frankenstein, The Werewolf, and it thrilled me. I began writing non-fiction after my mom passed away and I don’t really think an author can choose what genre they write in. I think the genre chooses them.

Do you write full-time or part-time?
Aside from being an author, I have been a feature writer and columnist for my local newspaper, The Brunswick Citizen, for over 16 years. It keeps me busy but I have a lot of free time to work on my books.

Do you aim for a set number of words/pages per day?

I read once that Stephen King suggests writing at least an hour a day. It can’t be 59 minutes, it must be a full hour. I do try to stick to that, however, there are days when I just don’t feel like writing so I don’t.

Do you work to an outline or plot or do you prefer just to see where an idea takes you?
I am one of those writers who feel the characters do the writing. I am just their messenger. I have never once written out a plot or an outline. I just write and let the story go where it needs to go.

If this book is part of a series, tell us a little about it?
I have 11 books out and my bestseller is WEEDMONKEY. It has been in the Top 100 Memoirs on Amazon US in 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017. My mother began writing this book when I was a little girl. It is the true story of her life growing up in coal mining camps throughout Appalachia during the Depression. She was shunned and ridiculed for being the daughter of the town whore, a weedmonkey.

How are you publishing this book and why?
(*e.g. Indie, traditional or both)
My first book, a vampire novel, PUNCTURE, was published through a “traditional” publisher, however, I was not happy with them. I got turned on to CreateSpace and now all my books go through them. Finding them really opened up a whole new writing world for me.

What would you say are the main advantages and disadvantages of self-publishing against being published or the other way around?
I like to have control over my royalties, my covers, my words, etc. I am not knocking a traditional publisher, however being an Indie works for me.

When doing book signings as an Indie, it can be a challenge in some locations since many large booksellers do not want to take the chance on an Indie and their books.

I would like to find a literary agent though.

Where would you like to see yourself in 5 years’ time?
My goal is to reach the New York Times Bestseller list with WEEDMONKEY! I see myself still writing and making a difference in the world and healing as many people with my words as I can. My other dream is to be an Inspirational Speaker.
